Connaught Park

After the Second World War, there was a boon in new parks added to the City of Oshawa. Connaught Park was one such park. It first appeared in City Directories in 1947, however, a 1946 editorial in the Oshawa Daily Times-Gazette makes mention of a “playground, off Jarvis and Connaught Sts.” calling it Jarvis Street.
The Oshawa Connaught Park Softball Team was inducted into the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame in 1999, recognizing the team and players who won four consecutive All Ontario Championships (1949-1952).
