Fire Station 1, located slightly northwest of Oshawa’s downtown core, serves as the Communications Division in its role as part of headquarters. Built in 1981, it is a two-storey building and is 24,000 sq ft. There are three truck bays and a large structural training prop. It is not only home to the Communications Division but Administration, Fire Prevention, the Platoon Chief Office, and Two Fire Fighting Crews.
