The 1920s brought about great development in the City of Oshawa. Houses constructed on Rowe Street are part of that growth. As noted in the 1928 newspaper, these houses were built by SH Jackson, who also constructed houses along Yonge Street (today Oshawa Boulevard) and Gliddon Avenue.
